THIS IS MY STORY
I grew up in the California Foster Care System. Thanks to the love and support of my adopted mother and incredible found family, I have gone on to a successful, fulfilling life including fostering and adopting two wonderful children of my own along with my two amazing stepchildren. I have been an advocate and keynote speaker at foster parent training's and industry conferences where I educate on the additional challenges of being gay as a foster child.
I am the author of the upcoming memoir, “Broken Boy: Surviving Foster Care and Giving Back to the System That Stole My Childhood,” and live in Northern California with my husband, Tony, three dogs, four barn cats, six goats, and a mini potbellied pig named Penelope-Ann.
